Over a decade of front-line research has gone into developing the WorkNet Model of Career Development/Job Placement for the Difficult-to-Place. It has been proven successful with people in transition from homelessness, addiction, incarceration, welfare dependence, domestic violence, foreign countries, diminishing industries, poverty due to age or recent divorce, and other difficulties.

As a Career Development model, its focus is not mere job placement and retention, but career advancement — because for most of our job candidates, the first job they secure does not make them economically self-sufficient. Self-sufficiency is achieved after their second, third, or fourth job upgrade. The easiest way to do this is to assist job candidates in discovering their Fields of Fascination, Natural Skills, and Work Motivations so they can be placed in jobs they enjoy. The result is an employee with a more positive attitude who learns quicker and works harder, which automatically makes them more promotable.

The WorkNet Model has excellent measurable results — 84% placement rate, 64% job retention rate at one year, and over 30% job upgrade rate in the first year of employment.
